Cool Story: As of 7/2024 it is 1 of 40 known black AAR’s. It is the first of 4 cars with consecutive VINs that were all built with the exact same options. The car was built April 15th of 1970 and sold new at Northside Motors in Miami Florida in to Andrew Harris at some point Mr Harris began drag racing the car. In September of 1979 Michael Boggs purchased the AAR and it was the car he drove in high school. Michael also drag raced the car on the weekends at Moroso Motorsports Park near Jupiter Florida and other drag strips in the Miami Florida area. In the late 1980’s Michael decided that he wanted a faster race car. In order to go faster the AAR would need major modifications, he knew that the AAR was a rare car and didn’t want to cut it up. Michael sold it to a local guy he knew that flipped cars. The car was then sold to Jody Monsour of Sikeston Missouri. From there it went to Maine where it was traded in by Jim Ambrose at Chuck Pierce Restorations as partial payment on a Hemi car. Mr Monsour was the last person to put the car in his name; it’s possible that there were other owners. I purchased the AAR in the fall of 1994 and proceeded to gather parts for the restoration. The first trip to the body shop resulted in a car that looked great but was full of bondo and I mean there was a lot. The second restoration was done by Noel Automotive in West Branch Iowa. The car was judged at MCACN in 2021 and received a score of 990 out of 1000.
